Over the years, I’ve been known to write things.
100% human-made thoughts and words with no AI interventions.
Here are a few highlights.
---
Most recently I started contributing to Brand New.
I will be writing critiques monthly, so check back here for links to the latest.

A critique of the new identity for the Royal Ontario Museum.

A critique of the new identity for Forest Carbon, an environmental conservation organization.

I recently contributed some thoughts to two pieces on Creative Bloq.
&

---
Long ago, I wrote a couple pieces for Design Observer.
“Cars: Pixar Falls for Intelligent Design”
A satirical critique of the design of the Cars universe.
This piece got
hundreds of comments (now turned off) and was enormously controversial.
It was also copied by Roger Ebert a few weeks later when he wrote a satirical critique of the Transformers universe with the same premise.

---
And even longer ago, I wrote my own blog called Pr*tty Sh*tty, where, on a mostly daily basis, I compared good and bad designs and wrote snarky things about them. And I occasionally wrote “features” such as:
“An Open Letter to James Cameron From Papyrus"
A satirical critique of the move Avatar written from the perspective of the Papyrus font. This piece went incredibly viral and at one point was even linked to by the New York Times.
&
“P*S* interviews P.S.”
An interview with design legend Paula Scher.
