Designed while at Pentagram, this identity and sales kit were for a luxury residential space developed in the West Village. The unique design of the building, by Asymptote Architecture, inspired us to use unusual materials in the sales kit and experiment with translucency and light. The brochure was made with synthetic paper, with an interplay of opaque and translucent sheets. The floor plans were printed on glassine. The pouch to hold everything, made with metallic upholstery fabric, was custom designed and produced. A series of dynamic gradients, inspired by the sky at different times of day, provided accents across materials. And the logotype balanced the high end character of the space with a degree of whimsy, with the two sixes flipped and used as the two e’s. This stencil-cut design was then laser cut into the letterhead and envelopes, rounding out an array of deliciously tactile and unexpected materials.
