In 2017, Lurie Children’s Hospital initiated a multi-year capital campaign called “for every child” to raise funds for their ongoing research into medical conditions that affect children and families. VSA Partners worked with them to develop a visual language that would sustain their efforts over the life and breadth of the campaign, and I created the toolkit and library of assets for them, with creative input from Ben Sherwood. Extending the equity of their hand logo, at the heart of the campaign identity is a system of hand illustrations that express a variety of gestures of care, comfort, and progress. These visuals are comprised of a quilted patchwork of pattern-filled shapes, conveying a human touch and a layered approach to their mission, research, and medical practice.
As of 2024, the campaign to raise funds for every child has raised $650 million, exceeding their objective of $500 million, and there is still one more year to go.
